Rejection Project

I have been rejected many times, and I am writing this post to show that my life is a curvy line. Everything is always changing, and while I like to share my successes, I also want to share that I am a person trying to figure out life.

2024

I applied to only one PhD program in population health and was ultimately rejected in the spring of 2024, later realizing that this field was not the right fit for me. I also applied to a study abroad program in Japan and was rejected, marking my fifth attempt in trying to study there. Although I passed the first round of a fully funded international master’s program, I failed the technical interview. I was accepted to a master’s program in Ireland but had to decline the offer due to financial constraints. I applied to around 20 jobs and received 3 acceptance letters; one was for my dream job as a research coordinator, but I had to decline it due to personal circumstances.
